Presently I use MYOB for my business. It is much more advanced than Money but do not know if it generates the reports at the end of the year for tax deductions, etc.

Check the website for Quicken for Mac, I think a new version is just coming out, so they are selling the 2007 for less. If he just needs something simple the 2007 should work just fine.
